This summer home of a Greek family from New York hadn’t been updated since it was built in the mid-1970s. The bathrooms were outdated, unevenly sized and just didn’t fit the needs of any of the vacationers who stayed at this home. Together with Greek designer Harry Arvanitis, we created two equally sized, modern, functional bathrooms. We started by taking down the wall between the bathrooms to create two identically sized spaces, and then chose materials local to Greece: Naxos marble for one bathroom, and Dyonisous marble for the other, as well as Grohe fixtures and Artimide lighting. After we got all the materials squared away, Harry executed them. We were both thrilled with the chic, functional spaces we created for all the home’s visitors to enjoy.
